About the Symposium

The Public Symposium on Wintering Danaid Butterflies is organized by Danaid Butterfly Research Hong Kong, a project of the Global Change and Tropical Conservation Lab at HKU. Through hosting talks given by groups working on the monitoring, research, and/or conservation of wintering danaid butterflies in Hong Kong, the symposium aims to:

  1. Hold conversations on the ecology and conservation of wintering danaid butterflies in Hong Kong,

  2. Communicate the current knowledge on danaid butterflies, and

  3. Facilitate public participation in danaid conservation and research

​
